Final year students took exams in September 2011 and their results came out in December 2011. The outcome was excellent. In fact, there was 100% success rate, with four students achieving grades equivalent to A and A*. These grades mean that these students despite having a disrupted education have now because of your sponsorships, not only passed their exams with flying colours, they now have scholarships to university, which means all their fees and accommodation is paid for.

As a result of the successful exam results the student population has increased, students are coming from good schools in the cities, such as Accra to attend our Jubilee school. For example in Form 1 there were 10 students last year, but now there are 30 students and the numbers are still rising.

We have 50 out of the 65 children being sponsored. Our target is 100 students by the next academic year, which looks likely since we’re still recruiting.

Event on the 19th May
Have you got this date in your diary yet? If not please do so, because we want an opportunity to show you what your sponsorship is achieving in rural Ghana. There will be serious food along with some light jazz entertainment.
